I am currently working on a film called “The Men Who Stare At Goats” – a dark comedy starring George Clooney, Ewan McGregor, Jeff Bridges and Kevin Spacey.
For this project, our fantastic team of Rolfe, Nick, Tony, Meridith & Allister all took a trip out of town to record. Timing and deadlines always an issue – we swoop into town, work hard, have a few crew dinners with the director, treat everybody with the utmost respect – and blow out as fast as we came in… I’ve never toured as a performer, so this is the closest I can come – being a mixer and all…
Upon arrival back home in Los Angeles, mixing immediately commenced at my studio. We’ve been running three ProTools rigs, mixing 32-channels for the dub-stage. A technical maze, we delivered all digital – 5.1 mixes… Very clean with no signal degradation… a full and comprehensive virtual mix. In addition, we have also been broadcasting live to Rolfe’s home studio, ensuring that he stays in the loop.
