Some days I am able to experience the true essence of simple artistry in music beyond all the technical aspects we get caught up in….

I am fortunate to spend many days immersed in the studio… at times it is big bombastic orchestras… other times just an acoustic guitar and voice… pure artistry and simplicity… unencumbered by technology… is powerful enough.

I asked Michael before I started to mix…. “What’s this song about?”
He said, “Wow, no mixer has ever asked me that. Thank you!” His art is as important to him as mine is to me…

For me to understand the emotional content of a track…To understand what the artist meant when they sat down to write with just a blank piece of paper in front of them…. and help an artist express their vision thru music…. that is why I chose to do this for a living.
